JOB DESCRIPTION:

Opportunity to join a growing, global team of passionate professionals sharing the beauty and warmth of authentic Brazilian design. Your mission is to drive growth for Sossego’s residential sales in California by leveraging and pioneering relationships in the A&D community and creating awareness of Sossego’s story and products.  You will identify new prospects and opportunities for strategic growth in the residential market. You will be based in the LA showroom (Culver City) and supported by a strong, well-developed inside sales and customer service team.

ROLE:

Drive meaningful brand interactions and awareness that result in sales to the Residential Trade (A&D) in California. You will manage a target client/account list and support the Director of Development, California to collectively grow brand awareness in the market through all strategic endeavors, including public relations, marketing, press and industry influencers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Share the Sossego brand and product line to prospective clients through presentations, meetings, correspondence, and events.
  • Meet sales targets and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with a network of designers, and architects.
  • Identify new prospects and develop long-term profitable relationships with designers, architects, and dealers.
  • Work closely with the remote support team to identify and close new sales or expand existing opportunities, serving as brand ambassador throughout California.
  • Manage the showroom and assist with coordination for hosting events.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Live in the Los Angeles area and be based out of the showroom in Culver City, CA.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in the A&D community in CA (sales experience preferred).
  • Network of existing relationships in the CA A&D community.
  • Self motivated, individual contributor who closely collaborates with inside support team. 
  • Travel within the state of California may be required.

DETAILS:

  • Sossego is opening a 4,000 sq.ft showroom in the Culver City Arts District in June 2023. This is a client-facing position. The goal is to be in front of clients as much as possible. It is expected that the showroom be used as frequently as possible to share the products and brand story.
  • Growth expectations would be agreed upon in advance. 
  • Compensation: base salary, commission, and benefits.

Your target clients include A&D firms (Residential and Hospitality) as well as purchasing agents and select hospitality end users. You will identify new prospects and develop long-term and profitable relationships on behalf of Sossego. You will be supported by a strong, well-developed support team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Share the Sossego brand and product line to prospective clients through presentations, meetings, correspondence, and events
  • Meet sales targets and deadlines
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with a network of designers,  architects, and dealers
  • Identify new prospects and develop long-term profitable relationships with designers, architects, and dealers.
  • Work closely with the remote support team to identify and close new sales or expand existing opportunities, serving as Brand Ambassador in the Tri-State area

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Live in the New York Metropolitan area
  • 7+ years’ experience selling furniture to the A&D community in New York
  • Extensive network of existing relationships in the New York A&D community. You must be a known and trusted resource.
  • Self motivated, individual contributor who closely collaborates with inside support team
