100th Women In Design at NYDC
Sossego Presents: Built In Her Name
March 11 at 12 PM
200 Lexington, Suite 1301, New York, NY
The Angela Armchair, designed by Aristeu Pires, was created as a tribute to the late architect Angela Basso, a dear friend and collaborator whose presence profoundly shaped his creative journey. The chair stands as a gesture of permanence; an object that carries a name, a memory, and a legacy forward.
A person remains alive until the last time their name is mentioned; I wished for Angela Basso to be immortalized.

From this origin story, during the 100th Women in Design at the NYDC, the Sossego showroom becomes the setting for a one-of-a-kind live intervention by Brazilian artist Carin Kulb Dangot, who will present a live intervention that transforms design into an act of remembrance.
Visitors are invited to contribute to the work, adding their own reflections on memory and legacy to collectively shape a living tribute.
RSVP below and join us for an afternoon of art and design.
